Monday sucked for the NBA market. There was a regression dip from whats been an incredibly efficient six weeks. My highs and lows roll with that since I rely on market indicators for a significant part of my handicapping process. In all 12 of the games, either the side or total that gained closing line value lost. Thats actually an insanely rare scenario. For example: Nuggets went from -7.5 to -9.5, and the total went up as well. Nuggets would lose outright. The Cavaliers and the over in their game took sharp action, Cavs covered in a 35 point under the close spot. Not even close (I was on the right side for that one). But in general, because the market sucked, my good numbers sucked, and I ended up have a crap day.
One highlight I pulled was a Matas Buzelis dunk. He is a rookie on the Bulls and is participating in the Slam Dunk Contest coming up in a few weeks. He’s got some juice as a player, but I give him 5% chance in the contest, hes just the body type wins it. His dunks look more arms than legs if that makes sense.
One best bet for the Tuesday NBA slate, which features a 4 game slate with some back to back component in every game, is to take Jazz/Warriors UNDER 229. The Jazz are the team playing the second night of a back to back, now going on the road. Theyr ruled John Collins and Walker Kessler a late out for the Monday game, if just one of them is active it should return a big rebounding and rim protection presence needed to slow the game down. The Warriors offense has been in a wreck, they lack a secondary playmaker next to Steph and are reeling with Draymond and Kuminga out, and Podz taking a step back this year.
And of course, the live show is on for 10am ET. YouTube link below- should be a quick one with only a four game slate, but I have at least 1 NBA video planned that HAS to be shown.
