Oh damn! That's actually Deangelo Russel in Brooklyn beating Houston outright in one of the craziest sequences we've seen all season. Glad we didn't decide to grab the Rockets in this one which was the side the market indicated. It's been one of those weeks so far: pick a sharp side, grab a good number, gain CLV, receive bad-beat, rip the ticket up. Happened again tonight on with the Heat -3.5. Clear spot with the Bulls now in tank mode and still with potential trades to make, which could leave them short-handed for a game or two at a moments notice. Heat were up 14 in the fourth but would lose outright. Rookie Bull Matas Buzelis went 10/10 from the field. That's literally NEVER happened before to a rookie while also hitting at least one three, which he went 4/4 on. Talk about variance. A -0.25u day in what could have been a monster one, we move on.
There are 11 more games on the Wednesday slate; one best bet to take right now is the Over 218 -110 @ DraftKings in the Bucks/Hornets game. Milwaukee looks to be back in good health with Portis, Lopez, and Middleton all listed as probable for this one. Dame/Giannis are still just questionable, but I think they're more like probable as they have been listed on the injury report in this manner almost daily since Christmas. All of those players can score while only one of them is still solid on the defensive end, and the Hornets have been able to at least match the pace of their opposition over the last three games. Some books are already out to 219 and I expect this line to close around 221 after shoot-around tomorrow.
