January remains an efficient NBA month
I am not one to overly celebrate holidays or use specific dates as momentous occasions, so the start of a new calendar year does not move me that much. As I said on the podcast yesterday, I hope 2025 is simply a continuation of the trajectory I am on right now. Ideally that means January 1 follows suit to how December 31st went, with yet another successful NBA betting night going 4-3, +1.32u. One of those wins included OKC -6.5; they mounted an insane 3rd quarter comeback, winning the period by +20 points and capping it off with this layup by Shai Gilgeous-Alexander. He has the best change of direction footwork in the game right now.
WEDNESDAY JANUARY 1ST SHARP BETTING LIVE SHOW

One of those includes the Utah Jazz +14.5 (0.75u) at the New York Knicks. Jalen Brunson is questionable with the calf injury, which has been the norm and he has tended to play recently. This has asymmetric injury risk, because if Brunson is inactive this will go to around -10. This is also backing the Utah Jazz now that they have healthy ball handlers. In all the versions of this Jazz team being feisty, it has come with Sexton, Clarkson, and Markkannan all being active. They provide an offensive floor that keeps them in games. I am slightly worried about backing a road team in MSG on the night after NYE. They were probably in NYC last night… maybe a one oak appearance for the Utah Jazz until 2am? If only I still had nightlife sources 😂.
