Toronto Raptors -1.5 (2u)
The Toronto Raptors have played stellar defense this season, lackluster offense, and have had times of looking both strong and sluggish. Truthfully, they have been a hard team to get a read on, but this game presents a nice schedule spot. The home Raps take on the road Knicks who are the second leg of a B2B in which they just played a physical and much more competitive game than expected against the Detroit Pistons. Brunson played 40, (scoring over 40), Randle played 38, and looming on the other side of this contest is the In Season Tournament quarterfinals, in which the Knicks take on the Bucks Tuesday night in Vegas. I think this increases the chances that Brunson/Randle rest, or even just find themselves with reduced minutes in a bit of a trap spot game. While there is hardly any sample size to support this, I would imagine teams that make the IST have a bit of a let down game after qualifying, but before it starting. We can take advantage of that as long as the NBA keeps this format.
Memphis Grizzlies @ Dallas Mavericks Under 230 (2u)
Me and Mavericks unders go together like J-Kidd and no look passes! This was almost a no brainer at post. The Grizzlies can’t buy a bucket this season; their shooting has been horrendous without Morant to help space the floor for Bane/Kennard. The Mavericks play efficient offense, but they are ok playing through half court sets and slowing the pace down. Both of these are recipes for under positions. I knew this was going to trend down as the opening line was 230.5 and there were 229s on the board when I grabbed a 230. I plan to play it back a bit before tip if I gain enough CLV.
