WHAT IN THE WORLD IS GOING ON?!?
I am actually exhausted right now. I need a few days off. I have been working and studying the board so much. But at the same time, when I am this hot, taking time off would be such a bad idea. I am seeing the numbers so well. I am so aware of injury reports, travel and rest schedule situations, recent pre game line movements and subsequent in game results. My awareness is absolutely peaking- and betting NBA as a career means I deal with an entire offseason. So when things are going well, itβs grind time.
As I will continue to say⦠BRING ON TOMORROW!

π NBA Best Bets Saturday December 23rd π
Jazz @ Raptors Under 231 (1u)
Memphis @ Atlanta Under 240.5 (0.75u)
Portland @ Warriors Under 233.5 (0.75u)
All 3 of these under spots feature a team on the second leg of a B2B. While the Warriors have been home for both games, the Raptors travel home from Philadelphia and the Hawks travel home from Miami. We have two situations where the home team is actually the one at a travel and rest disadvantage. Sometimes this leads to bad defense and easy buckets for overs. Other times tired legs and poor shooting for unders. What it most often means is a slightly reduced pace of play and a possibility for reduced minutes of key players- both of which benefit under plays. Within all three of these bets we also have strong early betting splits indicating under movement coming and even other books on the market already pricing a lower line.
Pelicans -6.5 (1u)
Houston is a team that really struggles on the road, and this is a road B2B game against the Pelicans who have been playing fantastic basketball. I am only playing it for 1unit right now, but I am very likely going to add another unit. Call me crazy, but if Zion is ruled out this line may get better for Pels backers and drop to like -4ish, and I would play it again. I think the Pelicans may be better without Z if the rest of the pieces are healthy.
Raptors -5.5 (1u)
Although the Raptors are traveling before a B2B, they take on a Utah Jazz team that is just lacking scorers and truly plays inside out- as in paint to perimeter, not backwards lol. The Raptors thrive with bodies and length to throw into the paint, and quick closeouts to the perimeter. I suspect a ton of deflections and run outs for the Raps, and I think they can win handily in a matchup sense.
Memphis Grizzlies TBD
Early splits indicate there is quite a bit of money coming in on the Atlanta Hawks. That means there is no reason to rush to back Memphis, we wait and likely get a better number and learn more information before placing a wager. I will probably back Memphis 1Q, I will look to back them full game if they are an underdog. Stay tuned to my twitter for it, and watch for movement of the Grizzlies -1/-1.5 line, as they probably should not be a road favorite already. I love these grizkids, but road favorite already may be a stretch. Iβm fine to be illogical as a fan, but I am logical about my action!
*Buybacks!**
Stay tuned for some buybacks to create some middles and/or some repositions. Despite these being small unit exposure plays, if the numbers move as expected, I may even flip and tilt the other direction. There are levels to this!
