What would've been a 2+ unit day turns out to be a small losing effort after Beal decided to take the most meaningless shot of all time with 3 seconds left in an 8 point game last night. He dribbles the clock out in that spot and we hit the middle on the total between 234 and 237. Instead, the game ends at 239, and of course we were weighted towards the under as that was the direction the market indicated in this one. Unreal. Mr. Beal Signed Sealed Delivered us a loss.
Elsewhere in the league, we had Giannis drop the 50th triple-double of his career, and I've got to say it was the smoothest looking triple-double I've ever seen from him. Despite 2 MVP seasons and a finals ring, Giannis is actually at his basketball apex right now because of his knowledge of the game combined with his Greek Freak physical abilities. Let’s try this again, the best bet for tomorrow is on the Lakers ATS up to -4.5. The Lakers have lost 3 straight, the last two being complete outliers. The Mavericks beat the Lakers without Luka or Kyrie simply because they shot nearly 50% from 3pt on insanely high volume and won on shooting variance. The next game the Lakers were up 10 with 2 minutes to go in the 3rd quarter and the Spurs went nuclear as the Lakers went ice cold. The Spurs won the final 14 minutes by 34 points, thats also a bottom 1% outcome. Sell those two spots and buy the Lakers here who take on the Heat on the 6th game of their road trip and Jimmy Butler drama resurfacing in the NBA headlines.
