The week of February 10th in the NBA, features the 2025 All-Star Weekend in San Francisco from February 14-16, leaving only four game days this week. Here are some scheduling quirks and injury notifications worth emphasizing.
Just one game into his Mavericks tenure, Anthony Davis suffered an abdominal injury and is going to miss multiple weeks. He is out until further notice, and will not be participating in the All Star festivities. Same thing goes for the Greek Freak, Giannis Antetokoumpo, who has already been ruled OUT through the break - and it seems he is not going to be participating next weekend either.
On the other side of that Mavs blockbuster trade, Luka Doncic debuts for the Lakers Monday, February 10 against Utah at home, then again in Salt Lake City on February 12. Luka Magic should put up big numbers against the league’s worst defense and possibly sit out that last game before the long weekend ahead. We’ve already seen the total in the first Jazz/Lakers game pop towards the over.
Meanwhile, the Spurs look to finish strong on their six-game East Coast tour on the road—ATL (W), CHA (L), ORL (L), WAS, and BOS—before Wemby and Chris Paul take a "work trip" to All-Star Weekend. They’ll reunite with the team at home for a back-to-back vs. the sinking Suns and shifting Pistons.
Finally, The LA Clippers have a “Rest vs. Rust” spot against the Memphis Grizzlies on Wednesday. The Clips will have three full days of home rest, while the Grizzlies play the Suns in Phoenix the night before. This is similar to the Knicks’ blowout home loss to the Celtics after a full three-day rest. Will the trend continue?
Want a best bet for tomorrow? UNDER 232 Bucks/Warriors. We released this at Under 233.5 in the whop, but I still think it is worth playing at 232. Steph Curry is already questionable, the Warriors are integrating Jimmy Butler who makes the defense better and the offense slower, and the Bucks are known to be without Giannis on the second leg of a back to back after a high paced game against Philly. I would not be surprised to see Dame pop up questionable tomorrow, because he carried a huge workload in a high paced game where the Bucks had an underdog win (to my detriment ugh).
MOST IMPORTANTLY- THE NFL IS OVER AND IT IS TIME FOR THE NBA TO SHINE!!!!
