We are officially two-thirds through this NBA season—time to lock in for the final stretch! This week, several teams face key stretches that bettors should take note of. Among those teams are Phoenix, Orlando, Sacramento, and San Antonio.
Phoenix has four games this week starting with the Grizzlies in Memphis (fresh off a two-week road trip), then traveling home to face New Orleans (2nd worst team in the league by record but now healthy) twice in a back-to-back before hosting the physical Minnesota in their third game in four nights. With Phoenix 4.5 games behind the #6 Clippers, this is a rare chance to regain some ground, or slip further into chaotic disarray. I am already eyeing playing a cheap Wolves at Suns later this week.
Orlando got Franz Wagner and Paolo Banchero back, and it has barely helped. Jalen Suggs is proving to be worth is massive offseason contract simply by not playing! The Magic have lost 6 of their last 10, are tied with the #8 Heat, and have fallen behind the steamrolling Pistons at #6. Fortunately, they play three home games (17-11 record) against the Cavs, Warriors, and Raptors, with plenty of rest between the tough matchups. If you have been consider the Magic to make the playoff type of bets, now is a buy point.
Sacramento has one of the easiest weeks ahead. After just one game in the last five days, they host Charlotte, visit Utah, then get two rest days before facing another well-rested Houston squad. The Kings, dropping 6 of their last 10 and are on a two-game skid, hold just a one-game lead over the #11 Suns. Back the Kings in get right spots. Kings ML, then rollover into Kings ML again before the Houston game?
San Antonio faces the toughest week ahead just days after losing its sophomore superstar to a season-ending injury. They play four games this week, all are in back-to-back sets: Pelicans-Rockets and Grizzlies-Thunder—the first three on the road. "Are we really bout to do it?" Fade the Spurs ATS on repeat? We played the Pistons Pelicans as the biggest bet today, cash it, and it might be right back to the well again.
One best bet worth placing now is Blazers vs Jazz UNDER 231.5. It is pretty much the consensus price right now, but this could drop below 230. The Blazers have relied on defense to spark their mid season turn around. The Jazz have a ton of players questionable and simply may lack a lot of talent.
