Schedule Spots to be aware of for betting the NBA this week
Two buys and a fade
Another successful weekend for WHOP, February has started with back to back winning days and +1.26u. Here’s to sharp numbers remaining efficient, and a touch of luck from the gambling gods, throughout February! January was fantastic, but now we also have a target to beat.
Week 15 of the NBA season brings a demanding road trip for the Houston Rockets, including back-to-backs on Monday-Tuesday in New York (Knicks Monday, Nets Tuesday), at the Wolves on Thursday and Saturday-Sunday in Texas (Dallas Saturday, then home vs Raptors playing well Sunday). I would look to fade Jalen Green’s points line against the Wolves and over the weekend.
Another scheduling quirk: the New York Knicks open with a back-to-back at home and at Toronto before enjoying a three-day break (Wednesday-Friday) ahead of a home matchup against Boston. The Knicks will be well rested, and at that point the Celtics will have played literally every other day since January 22nd. Will the Knicks get up for a game in the actual Garden (TD Garden, what is that? MSG is the real one), and will the Celtics get caught napping in schedule monotony.
Lastly, with trade rumors swirling around Jimmy Butler and three games left on his suspension, it's safe to assume he’ll be sidelined all week. Expect big performances from Bam Adebayo and Tyler Herro, and a “Scary Terry” Rozier sighting against the Bulls on Tuesday. All three will soak up the usage in Butler’s absence. Rozier has been noticeably playing harder since the drama came out about being involved in some betting scandal. If there are Rozier props lol, look for overs vs Chicago.
NBA Monday Best Bet: Zion Williamson OVERS.
Pick your poison between over 11.5 Rebounds + Assist (-106 FD) or Over 33.5 PRA (-125 DK). But Zion Overs until the wheels fall off right now. He is going to step more into a playmaking role without Dejounte Murray, in a game we have seen the total rise 236.5 to 239.5. This is a no brainer spot to find some props where the market has not adjusted, correlates with the expected pace, and likely usage rate bump coming for Zion.
