I’ll make this one quick because its my second email of the night!
Make sure to check out my +750 Pacers 4th Seed bet, but as I transitioned over to study the Western Conference, I found another NBA Future I simply couldn’t resist and wanted to send out as well. At this rate you may hear from me a few more times, but go ahead and put 3units on this!
🏀 NBA Best Record After Break: Minnesota Timberwolves +1500 (DraftKings) 🏀
I probably need to take a cold shower after loving this bet too much. The Minnesota Timberwolves current sit atop the Western Conference with a 39-16 record, just sent two guys to the NBA All Star Game (Ant & KAT), have another who is an overwhelming favorite for Defensive Player of the Year (Gobert), and just inked the veteran point guard Mike Conley to a very team friendly team. They are healthy, happy, and HOME.
The Wolves are currently 19-5 at home and 20-11 on the road. Both are incredibly impressive splits, but I also notice the most lopsided home/road distribution in the league. The Wolves are about to be on a two-week home stand, and currently have 7 less home games played with just 27 to play!
They also have a top 10 easiest remaining strength of schedule. Per Tankathon, they face opponents with a collective sub .500 record, while they sit at a staggeringly high over .700 win rate. Note that the top 10 easiest schedule is only record based, and does not included being at home too.
While not an overly emphasized factor in my cap, I think it should be pointed out that this is a relatively new coach in Chris Finch, a relatively new GM (to Minnesota) in Tim Connolly, and a relatively new ownership group with ARod as one of the faces. Securing the #1 seed would be a big deal for everyone involved. I expect them to go for it. With a healthy and durable squad, the implied price for these odds is drastically undervalued.
I don’t expect a long shot number with low liability and high risk to last at the books, so go grab it now!
